Volume Synopsis
The gang is approached by superstud sorcerer Botan Kadenokoji, and he does not come in peace! Botan makes Mogari absorb a huge number of vengeful spirits into his body, the spirits latch on to the darkness in Mogari’s heart and in his past…[1]
Cover and Volume Illustration
The front cover consists of a blue background with the title logo in red and white in the center. The author's name is located above to the left in white lettering, while the volume number appears to the right in white inside a red flame. The back cover uses the same blue base and integrates red and black flames.
Sorato occupies the main focus of the cover with a serious expression; behind him to the left is his alternate persona, followed by Mogari mimicking the serious gesture. Rinri, Maria, Sunao, and Nika appear in the lower foreground with enthusiastic expressions. The back cover shows a smiling Sorato in grayscale inside a black flame. The spine includes Sorato's serious image again against a red background.
The volume's internal illustration features a cream background decorated with solid-colored shapes representing each character. The four protagonists are depicted in summer attire: Kaoru (top left) holds his sunglasses over his head, Mogari (top right) sticks out his tongue showing the seal, Eugene (center left) wears a straw hat while holding an ice cream sundae, and Kotaro (bottom center) carries a surfboard. Additionally, Jomaru is shown resting on a pink pool float in the center of the composition.
